Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Recording, voice clipping, editing and exporting are free with no time limit, clip limit or watermark. You only pay if you want to keep clips online and share them by link.
Will it slow my game down?
Klipd uses your graphics card's video encoder and keeps frames on the GPU where it can, so it was built to run on older and low-end PCs. You can drop to the Performance preset (720p, 30 fps) if you need to.
Does voice clipping send my audio anywhere?
No. Speech is recognised by a small model on your PC, and the mic is only listened to while a game is recording.
Which games does it work with?
Almost any. Klipd recognises games installed through Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Riot and Xbox, plus anything running fullscreen, and you can add any other app by hand.
What happens to my clips if I cancel?
Clips on your PC are yours either way. Clips already in the cloud stay up and their links keep working; you just can't upload new ones until you pick a plan again.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from the Account page. It cancels any subscription and deletes every clip you uploaded, straight away.
